I am new to this site and think it is great. I live in Peterborough Ontario Canada and have raised Birmingham rollers most of my life. I haven't found many people in my area who raise these birds. I would love to hear from anyone. I was wondering does anyone out there use hard wood dummy eggs? This is my first year with them and I ordered some from Foy's in the states. The eggs are huge. I am concerned that my birds won't take to them. In the past I have just used eggs laid from foster parents as dummies to keep them on the nest. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I use them and the birds take to them fine,if I had to I'd use rocks LOL and I think that the birds would take to them, keep in mind that most of these supply houses cater to the Racing Homer guys, something to remember with some meds, different types of bands (snap on) wooden eggs!!! ect.
