As long as we're guessing I'll take a stab at it and say it's a Horner/crossed with your Higgins stuff.

My guess is it's a Norm Reed bird and the picture was taken somewhere in the Antelope Valley.

From the expression I would say this bird is extreamly hot, wild and flighty. Not my kind of bird. Joe

This is the "TRIGGER " hen she spins 5 to 25 feet i call her the trigger hen because She always flys in front or the center of the kit and she seams to "activate" the kit . I flew her for a year then I bred some young off Her then I put her back in the Air ( no problem ) .

She has been chased many Times By Falcons and she is extremly reliable she never rolls when she is flying Low.

I wish I had a whold loft full of these BAD LOOKING BIRDS .

Thanks For your expert opinions Guys.

George.. I have a cock in my A-team with the same expression..there is a reason that it is still in the kit box and why there is much more to it than just breeding out of the air.
Now we are talking about what Pensom refered to as evaluating off of the ground.. what they do in the air is only the first step.. breed that bird to it's like and you are setting up for a train wreck in future generations.

George no doubt, this hen is not much to look at.
Poor head as well as wing structure. I would have to agree with Scott and Joe about expression, you notice it right off.
Some things what we still don't know about the birds is what style she rolls, all we know at this point is "active". Sounds like she was pulled early and even though she was reflown still needs time to be tested. The reason I say this is because most small hens like this fall apart slowly over time and have to be pulled feedup then reentered to kit, is this the case with this bird?

Brad
I have never had a problem with her , BUT i am flying the young I got from her and they are not as good as she is .

unless her progency show me something in the AIR she will not get another chance in the breeder pen .

I believe that a Bird(s) should always produce the First time a person breeds it. I dont believe in shopping around for the right Mate. Of course that is just me some folks will try a Bird with several Mates before they realize it's a NON producer and should spend the rest of its life in the Air .

Thanks
George

Goerge just because the bird has bad expression doesnt mean it cant roll its ass off. I have seen it many times. I am just stating what I am observing from a picture. this the whole reason I dont believe a birmingham roller belongs in a show pen. There isnt a man out there that can tell you for certain what any pigeon does in the air by looking at it in a show pen. please dont take my visual perception of this bird as anything other than an opinion of appearance. Is this an andalusian in color! The head resembles some of Horner's hens but he doesn't have fancy colors in his breed.
