I just wanted to know if any of you pros know where that color came from or if they are any better rollers come out of them.

The baldhead marking is just that, a marking, which is the combination of two dose of the pie bald or pied factor. I believe it is recessive. It seems to be present in most of the original tumbling and performing breeds, more precisely those that were developed in old England. A lot of the English rollers today (ones I have seen) are badges (one dose of pie bald) or baldheads as well as saddles or magpie type markings. I get one or two true baldheads a year and they don't roll any better or any worse than their badge or self siblings. I'm sure there are some good families of baldhead rollers out there. Once you've got it in some good birds you can make a lot more of them really quick, the marking that is.
