Tony sorry if things got a bit sideways there, and normally when things do get like this it involves pretty colors and or those trying to B.S. and those that pull the covers,it's also a good topic for newcomers as there are way to many people out there selling a line of crock and taking thier money,I've seen it over and over again and it's generally done by people outside of this sport and claiming to be on the inside of it,not all of time but most of the time, you also have a few using the pedigree and a line of B.S. as a sales tool, same thing, bad news for the sport and bad news for the newcomer, like I said previously if someone has to tell you how good thier birds are,Look out.

Remember too if someone is bad mouthing birds he knows nothing about it shows he doesn't know what he is talking about. These are the kind of guys that are ruining the sport for every one. They've never seen the birds they are bad mouthing. So how does he know if they are good or bad?Who made him the judge of all birds? If you havent seen them for yourself I think you should keep your opinions to yourself.I never was badmouthing the hard colored birds.I just said some colored birds are just as good. And they are .I guess you have never seen Pensom's pictures .You must have missed the White grizzle with the caption CHAMPION under.Well I guess Pensom didn't know that the best birds are hard colored.LOL

Starfire I think that you better go back and reread my posts,we were talking about yellows, mongral colors and those that breed for specific colors, didn'nt even mention your name on this new topic, but since you chimed in,did'nt you say spitfire that talk is cheap, lets have some fun here and let you proove yourself, the World Cup is getting real close if these crested yellows with 14 tail feathered Pensoms LOL (sorry can't say that without laughing)are as good as you claim then you should have no problem getting into the finals, normally I make it in,doesnt mean that I will this year but theres good chance of it,what I'm getting at here Spitfire is the beauty of the W/C is guys like you an me can go toe to toe and we can see what these yellow, crested mutants LOl are made of,your at an advantage as I have said absoulutly nothing about my birds,as I havnt even mentioned thier color soft, hard, or anything, didnt brag about how good they are, nothing,as far as you know I breed Fantails LOL,not that it matters,we can even make it really interesting too if you like LOL are you up for it. P.S. you didnt answer my question,do you have the so called "rare" colors on the property, and do you sell a lot of birds, simple question

Hey Motherlode, You are an honorable person to want to defend those who would not know to beware...
Also, people DO have strong opinions and feel passionately about them. I welcome this and believe it is good for the sport. Keep up the good work! FLY ON! Tony

Hey spitfire, Pensom's book is full of nice colored rollers,, There are a few nice grizzles and even a yellow bar.. Dilute is a gene withing the true Birmingham roller breed.. I personaly beleive dilute brings a weakness to the gene pool, that is not worth perpetuating,, but thats anouther topic...

I spitfired that last post before I was done writing!! LOL I have two questions for you Spitfire. One, I didn't see the picture in Pensom's book, that had a helmet roller with 14 tail feathers, Would you tell me what page that bird is on? I can't find anywhere, in Pensom's book, that he says Birmingham rollers have 14 tail feahters and helmet heads. Question 2. you boast of a great score in competition in 1979, over 30 years ago.. Why did you quit flying rollers in competition when competition is at its peak? You have two flyers in Canada that have wont the World cup four times between them. Why have we not read or heard of you in the big flys with birds as great as the ones you claim.. I mean birds coming to a 30 foot roll at 2 to 3 months and lasting for years, should be competitive at any level.. If they truyly are what you claim? So spitfire, can I look your lofts up in WC competition in years past? If not, Can I look for you in the standing this year? I hope you will join us this year and show the roller world, what crested, 14 tail featherd yellow bared pure Pensom Birmingham rollers can do! See you in the competitions.

Hey guys; Go to my website.http://pages.zdnet.com/stan_a35/ Take a look at my video of a 6 bird break. Then tell me how bad my birds are.Look at the World fly scoresheet on the site. When this was flown this score was highest in the world at that time.Look at the Q-D markers.I think Rod Fomby won it that year.with 288 pts.You guys can laugh all you want because you don't know any better .Show me your scores from the world cup.Show me your quality an depth markers on a world fly sheet otherwise button up. I also have a 20 bird full turn of 30-40ftrs.on tape that I will put on the website soon. Hey mongrel lofts the name is STARFIRE not spitfire.Oh by the way, that world fly score was made after 18 years out of competituon.

Hey Spitfire, you never answeredd one question,,, Show me the yellow bared, 14 tail featherd crested roller in Pensom's book. I can make a score sheet of 2,000 points up, who was the judge and was it the same judge as the finals? The second question, have you flown WC in the last ten years and will you be flying WC this year?? Or will you just be selling pure 14 tail feathered helmet headed pensom family rollers?? How did your kit compare to John Wiens kit year before last, or Dennis Burkes kit this year... I know I fell short,, You know, 1979 gives a lot of time to screw up his birds.. Lets talk about what you have scored in WC competiotn in the lasst ten years..

hey mongrel lofts The Crested birds are my own breed that I have been working on for about 25 years. How can they be in Pensom;s book? They come from a family of Pensom Rollers that I have kept pure since 1968.Why would you say that anybody can make up a scoresheet ? How many have you made up?It's not impossible to start a new breed of pigeons.I sell birds. Don't you?Look at my site.Do you see anywhere that I'm selling birds on it?I just put it up so people could see what other pigeon guys are doing..I dont sell the to the states.Send me your world fly scoresheet and I'll put it on my site.Do you have any?I was in the world cup in 1996.Look at my site. The Judge was Harold Ryan, and Gary Shrieber was here also

Starfire,Don Ouellette was the finals judge in 1996,I don't think that we are all on the same page here, correct me if I'm wrong but are you talking about the pre-lem fly for your region to determine the qaulifier ??? generally when we speak of the W/C we are talking about flying the finals, did you fly in the finals? Starfire why don't you just throw in the towel on this one and we'll all just call it good,no reason to go any further here. Motherlode lofts
P.S. if you would like another try to make it to the W/C fly your RD in 03 was Don Luna (905) 939-8948 it'll probaly be the same for 04,good luck
