Ok guy's from the old post (breeding best to best) it is understood that it's best to breed hen back to cock, right.
Well lets say that the original cock is no longer avaliable, he's to old, dog get a hold of him (etc) you get the point. What would we do then. Would we go back to best cock to original hen or best bro and sis. I just thought that I would throw this one out there to see what you would do in this case! Thanks for all the info and all the advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

I would go best son or grandson back to original hen.

Go back to the original hen with the best cock you have. Then make whatever pairs you want with what is left. after that you will have lots to pick from the next season. You are at a good point to start a close family.
