* i was wondering when the proper time to breed rollers was?? From an age stand point, I have seen them breed as early as 5 months. From a performance stand point, I would fly no less than a year but preferably 2 years. (2 flying seasons = 18 months)
* What to look for in a roller? Get my book "How To Breed Better Rollers". Read about Step 1. Make sure the it has the roll, velocity, depth, control and type. In this order.
* How many is a good starting number?? You can start with whatever quantity you have. The ideal number is 20 birds. 8 to 12 birds is fun to watch, 15-20 is best though.

I try to keep a ten bird kit. When I am not breeding I use my breeding loft for flying with another ten bird kit. I sometimes opened both lofts it's looks good to see all twenty birds flying at once in two separate groups.I normally release my kits at seperate times. Ten to twelve bird kit will be good for starters good luck!
