Like most I think that I breed the birds for my own enjoyment and when able to I love the competition. I wont ever sacrafice my birds for the competition as I have done in the past. I enjoy the birds just as much in my own back yard as I do in somebody elses comp or no comp. Joe

I enjoy the birds first and foremost. I would have pigeons whether I could compete with them or not. As a newbie I have not competed but have gone to a local competition. I enjoyed the event, the club members, and seeing the support the members showed to each other. Not to mention seeing some good kits do their thing. I look forward to my first competition.

We are all back yard first and then maybe comp maybe not. But comp is only twenty minutes a few times a year. So the rest is backyard. Sidlove said it right.

I'm a back and front yarder.Fly comp to support the club and get the judge over to give his opinion on whether my birds and training are improving.

I would say first I am a backyard flyer, because I breed these birds for me first. Second competition because I will fly against any one any time!LOL
