i need to now how to tell a hen from a cock a friend of mine told me to pull the beak if it tries to snatch away its a cock if it doesnt its a hen or it could be the other way around

Feel the pelvic bones.If they are close together ,its
a cock.If they are wide apart chances are it is a hen.
The egg has to pass thur thats why they are wider on a hen.
