Hi everyone... My name is Rick from Indio, Ca, a member from Coachella Valley Rollers. I have been to a few shows/benefits and looking forward to attending many more. My question to you all, my fellow bird friends is: I have a roller that has obtained a cough, sounds like a duck...any suggestions, info or advice is appreciated.

This is just a guess, but I would say it has a respitory problem! I, personally, would start him on tetracycline! I would also quarantine it in case it is something contageous! I am no doctor, this is just what I would do personally!

welcome cv. if that don't work try doxycycline x areomycin concentrate for 5-7 days.

Are you sure it isn't a duck :)
I had rollers that have been on a long lock down start acting like they were drunk after a short flight but to cough like a duck... not yet. Must be a cold. I know dogs and cats are capable of getting a cold. Why not our pigeons. I wouldn't worry too much about a cough. I'd be worry more about how it is doing in the air.

Welcome CV.and DR Val could be right .he says he ain't no Doctor,but the man has a PhD and G.U.N so i wouldn't mess with him..enjoy your stay and hope your bird is better. if not have it gargle with ACV twice a day he be alright..:O)
