Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam has a new weapon in the fight against dangerous birds strikes - a robotic hawk.
The flying robot simulates the screech of a real hawk and also flaps it wings to scare away pesky birds that often loiter on the airport’s busy runways.

I know none of us could afford to do this to scare away other BOP. and Big Brother would consider this harassing wildlife. but is sure would be nice if we could. David Werstler

Hi David...
It's interesting how they mix ornithology with advanced technology to create this Robotic Hawk. ===> "The flying scarecrow, named the ornithopter, flaps its wings in a mimicry of hawk movement to make birds blocking the airport's runways believe that they are under attack".
