I know there was a post on this subject, but i can not find it to save my life.
What/are there negitive affects of breeders getting no sun light at all. The reason I ask is because my Breeder loft is inside by barn, with only artifical light.

Also your pigeons will lack vitamin D they get this from natural sunlight so make sure you give them a supplement.

I give mine a full light spectrum bulb. (Grow Light or grow lamp) as well as the suppliment. When I can, I take the non-setting parent out for a little natural sun in the kitbox flypen.

It doesnt take a huge fly pen to satisfy their needs. Just a rabbit cage with a couple of perches screwed over a window will do the trick.

Hey Dale, the ProVital contains vitamin D3. The veterinarian who developed it said it contains the proper dosage for pigeons. This is the same vitamin that the sun produces.

But, I must say, pigeons soaking in the sun is a marvelous site and I find it very relaxing to watch.
