What do you guys do to keep your birds cool in thier kitboxes during the hot summer months?

I have a screen door as well as a wood door. When it gets real hot, I just leave the screen door to make sure they get some air.

Nice pool, I have got one of them too. Do you ever have any problems with the roller ending up in there..stupid but serious question.

Efren you should let them go in the pool, that should cool them.

Andrew, Rolando,

I tend to get some that will roll into the pool. I guess it's a lot better then hitting the hard cement...lol

Efren,

with that kitbox do you use any traps or just leave the doors open?

My old boxes I used to hose down on the hottest of days, my set up now is wide open front and back (back being the inside of the loft) and I will put a rotating fan in the loft where the air is moved through all 5 kitboxes, it is all about airflow

I have wire fronts and wire on the backs which are actually on the inside of the breeder loft.

I live in San Antonio, Texas and there is no way you can close them up totally, otherwise you will have BBQ, right Rudy!!! LOL
