Any one uses Baking Soda to clean the birds system before giving them any medication. I heard that you give them 2 tbl spoons/gallon for 3-5 days in the drinking water. This helps kill any bad bacteria before giving them medication to help them more. Also need to remouve the Pigeon Gritt as well.

NEVER HEARD OF THE BAKING SODA THING. I HAVE KNOWN GUYS USE EPSOM SALTS. CLEANS THEM OUT BUT I DONT THINK IT KILLS ANY BAD BACTERIA.
THE REMOVAL OF THE GRIT IS TRUE.TAKE IT OUT A FEW DAYS AHEAD IF POSSIBLE.
REMEMBER THE PRO BIOS AFTER TREATMENT TO REPLACE THE "GOOD" GUT BACTERIA.

A friend that I talk to said that works better than Empson Salt because kills any bacteria not just flush them out.
Then the ProVital after the clean up.
Just wanted to share this.

Seems to me the Baking Soda would nutralize the acid situation we set up by adding vinegar to water, I would not think the soda would kill bacteria??????

Trying to find more information on the web and found that is seems bad using Baking Soda. That it might cause the bird to explode. WOw
Now I wonder if he was trying to help me or something else.

The more I think about it, I'm sure if you try to put a couple of Tbs of Baking Soda in you waterers with the vinegar mix it will foam up all over the place, probablt like these guys putting "Mentos" in a coke.
Can a pigeon burp?????????
