what family are you flying Skippy? Is this a new sport to you.? welcome to this site. there are a lot of great posts on this subject. Lock down and dont fly when they are bad. Watch the songbirds in your area. they can help let you know when a BOP is in the area.
Unfortunatly, losses to the BOP is inevitable these days. The trick is to minimalize your losses by flying smart not hard.

Welcome kippy! I lock down for at least a week EVERY time I get hit! Only flying a couple days a week also and I fly after 3:30p.m. here! They seem less likely to be hunting! Keep your fly times mixed up or try to find a time that their not so aggressive!
