Russ,
I fly them every other day for the most part. There are days that I feel a daily fly would do them good, so i will fly them for 3 or 4 days straight..My other 2 kits get flown daily, weather permitting.

Hey Missouri flyer,

I read your profile,I noticed you said that during a storm your birds didnt fly four 9 days then they exploded in a great fly, Was it because alot of rest,or just happy to fly.

Russ,
My feeling in why they were so explosive that day would be a combination of plenty of rest from flying daily for months, and also an added feed ration during the no fly times. When I do not fly them for 3 days, and let them out, they are a different kit, than if their flwon daily..I like to fly daily, as they are all 07 birds, and need the time. My other 2 kits consist of 5 month old kit and 3 month old kit. all starting to work some.

My A-team birds are all on lockdown right now, and some are in the experimental breeding stage for a couple rounds.
When I get them back out this spring I will fly them every day for the first couple weeks then back off to every other day or three. they are 1 to 3 year old birds, and seem to do better if given a rest day or 2 between flies.

I fly my birds six days a week. I give them one day of rest a week. I prepare my birds every week like its competition. I give them a day rest before competition flys.

Lockdown except for one day a week, never know what day it might be, keeps the hawks wondering.

Define A-team......Are you guys talking about old-bird holdover A-teams? I don't fly those until prepping for competitions. In fact I have pretty much decimated the kit pulling breeders to get a few rounds before Spring's World Cup. Now, if you are talking young bird A-team....well, I'm pretty much limited to weekends with my schedule at work and the short days.
