I just want to know when do you band the baby pigeon when they just hatched. tell me in week or days. i never used band before . Thanks

Well, when the band barely slides over the toes. Not tight, just snug. I hate digging into the pine needles to find a band that has sliiped off. Different youngsters grow at different rates and have different sizes to them. Watch them closely and you will know when.

I wait till around two to three weeks old. This way i know the bands wont come off in the nestbowl.
But the bands in the UK seem a tad smaller than the American bands so like milo says you need to have a nice snug fit over the foot of the pigeon.

I band em at 7 days.Can't see how you could possibly get the band to go on at 3 weeks,their feet are almost full size by then.

Depends on the band your using, some bands are wider than others and you have to slip them earlier than others,5 days +.
