I have birds arriving tomorrow!

For someone just starting out and contemplating competing some day;I realize that I am probably 2 years from that goal.

Can you break it down to the bare bones for me?

I am in south Georgia, and so far I have found no Roller flyer closer than 2 1/2 hours away, I will take advantedge of hospitality extended and visit to these lofts as the opportunity presents itself.

So, with competing as a future goal, knowing what you know now, .....IF!....you had to start over from scratch can you give me the A, B, C's and break it down by the numbers?

I am going to school on you guys, rest assured that I am doing my home work, reading posts, the archives and books on the subject.

Now comes the time for me to put what I am learning into practice.

I have taken particular interests on "Feeding for Performance".

I am starting out with good birds, 3 pair of Ruby's, the testimonies convince me these birds will take care of business, so I want to make sure I do my part and don't screw things up.

Structure is my comfort zone, I like to make a plan and work that plan. Organized to the point of boredom.

PPPPPPP

Proper prior planning prevents p--s poor performance!

Thanks in advance for your help!

SD,
You'll have to try to get up to the Carolinas for some of the Regional Competitions, so you can see what kind of birds you are up against.....sort of set your sites. Don Simpson in Anderson South Carolina would be well-worth your effort to contact and spend some time with...Let me know if you can make it up this way. We fly our finals on 11-18.
YITS,
