I just have a simple question on when/what is the best time/way to feed your pigeons. How many times you feed your pigeon a day and when is the best time. Do you always have food in the loft? I know over feeding them isn't good. Should I feed them in the morning and remove the food 1-2 hour later and do the same thing late afternoon or is there a better time and how many times i should feed them. How many hour gap should i start feeding them again. I want to know what is your opinion about the topic/question. Thanks and I would really appreciate the help.

well im only raising them to enjoy the performance. Not planning to compete. You can say more of a performance thing then a breeding.

Ok, so just for flying.

Well, fly once a day. When they return, you feed them. Feed once a day. As a general rule, and for what you are doing, about a tablespoon and a half per bird per day of a simple 12% mix feed you can get from the feed store. If they get lazy feed them a little less, if they are starving, a little more. Good luck.

Oh, if you are breeding, you want to feed them alot. But that another story all together.

Like a old flyer told me to do my young birds is to feed them a little more than a tablespoon for young birds I feed them milo, wheat, and barley I was feeding them that mix stuff but I seen that my birds were lazy to fly but with this three mix that an old flyer told me they look much much better.....If I fly like around 6:30 in the morning i'll call them in with a hand fool of feed and at like 12:00 in the afternoon thats when I feed them and ive seen the improvement in my birds I guess everyone has there own program it may work for you it maynot but all I now is that it worked for me..Peace to all my roller people
