a little while i was talking to a chap about different families of rollers and how he rated them. he told me that when it came to flying in competitions that masons were probably the best that we have here as they are not to deep and they have great kitting ability and are frequent and spin tight. how do you guys rate these comments he said that is why heine birds do so well in comps they are a cross of masons i beleive how do you guys rate these comments .cheers trev

Heine has been very adamant to tell me that his birds are not MAson;s but rather Barret's.

Opinions are like................well, you know what I mean. I have heard good things and bad things about everybody's families. I don't like Mason birds, but I know some solid breeders who swear by them. I think it all boils down to how good a loft manager you are. A bad loft manager can make good birds bad. So, some can take Masons and make them terrible when others can make them great. I heard the same critisism of Barret birds both good and bad. Hiene is a good loft manager so his Barrets perform well............I think it is all in the loft manager.

To some it up...there is no one family better then another...it is the family that fits YOU as the fancier. Just like the posts above...everyone has there favorites....but of course your favorite is going to be the ones that you can handle. Questions like that you can't even answer....what is better for or chevy or ford...what is the best color..yellow or green....what is the best ice cream...rocky road or vanilla.....who makes the best hamburger....Mc Donalds or Burger king....what line of roosters is better....or racing pigeons.....you can't answer these questions....ok...Chevy....yellow.....Rocky Road....Burger king....LOL
