Hey George, Have you given Apple Cider Vinegar lately? That works for a sour crop. The fermentation of undigested grain can cause air to build up. As a last resort you can also sterilize a small area near the top of the crop and puncture it. This relieves the pressure. I am new with the birds, but this has worked for me. Good luck. Janene

George,I've heard heavily chlorinated water like water out of the Colorado River is not good for pigeons.A racer guy I know who lives in town and has clorinated water puts his in gallon milk jugs and lets it sit a few days for the chlorine to dissapate before he feeds it to his birds. He figures it makes a difference. Apple cider vinegar is the best thing for keeping their gut and intestines clean and clear. It's good for all kinds of things. Our bodies benefit from the regular consumption of ACV as well. ---------- Kelly

George,
Take a needle and poke it and it will heal on its own. Thier are times when the airsac retains air. It happens to some birds. Just penetrate the super ficial tissue and it will go away. Careful to not go deeper than the first layer of skin. Ivan
