This is my first time locking my birds down. I still feed them the same amount as if i'm flying them. I noticed that each time as i feed them they go crazy for the feed. If this becomes a habit with the birds wanting the feed is it going to effect them when i fly them? I worried that when i fly them again they're going to just jump around waiting for the food and not fly. Any suggestions? I want to be prepared for the fly

Nolimit-I am new at this -(second year)--but if its cold where you live, I would think that the birds need more calories in winter than they do the rest of the year. That could be a reason that they are diving at the feed.Maybe someone with alot more experience could give you a more educated answer-- just my thoughts

Whatever you been feeding them after their daily fly, feed them 50% more. If you are in colder climate, give them 10% yellow corn. They will get back in shape very soon after you start flying them again.
