With the warmer weather you will see the parents venturing off of the nest, particularly during the day or when feeding. Right about the time the pin feathers start coming in. As each day passes they will spend less and less time on the babies.

My best breeders so far have been laying another set of eggs 12 days after hatching the previous round.If you watch them closely,you'll see them sitting the new eggs but still feeding the first youngsters.

Most rollers are good parents and will continue to feed and tend to their squeaks.Years ago I had some birds stolen from the loft, including a hen with youngsters.The cock bird ("Ike") fed and looked after them by himself for 3 days, until the hen returned. What a great dad.
