just wondering where is the keel? And does it matter if its long or short just need some input. how you feel for it?

Hey Art, the keel is the "chest bone" going down the middle of the bird, starting just below the crop (below the beak)extending down to the vent bone area between the legs.

I like a bird which has a keel that tends to taper up into the vent bone area vs a keel hanging down "below" the vent bone area. I found this tapering up characteristic is present in my best rollers.
