Need some help delivering an egg that is to large for the hen. I tryed pushing on it a little ,but didn't work,I could not see the egg just feel it. Looks like her insides are turned inside out,had this happen to a chicken hen one time but seems to be different. any answers out there. thanks, jerry

Jerry , get a cotton swab and with vegi oil lube the vent up and around the egg , also get some steam going and hold her over it (dont burn) you wanna loosen her up.
start working that egg to the vent DON'T BREAK , stream , lube, work,steam, lube, work , you get the picture time is of the essance.

Jerry I actualy swab up the into the vent and around the egg , shes dead if you dont get it resolved

It's out. Don't know the fate of the hen yet.the hole in the membrane was to small for the egg to go through, so i cut it and made it larger and it popped on out. but then i had to push all that stuff back in, hope it all works ok LOL again. didnt use steam used a warm rag an pure virgin olive oil since it was her first egg. LOL thanks again, jerry

Did you sew up where you cut and clean the area? Put her on a heating pad. After she warms up then tube feed her. Keep us posted.

Im back she did not make it, my first c-section did not go so well. Thanks Guys, I will know what to do next time and earler. jerry

Jerry I was thinking about that today , dont cut nothing next time and keep "slowly" working it.
I worked on one for well over an hour last year , took my time to make sure I didnt hurt her.
