ive bread 11 chicks so far but one has confused me. its nearly all white apart from two brown spots witch are tiny. heres the strange bit its got a line across its crop about an inch long that is peppermint blue now theres nothing in my loft that colour and the chick has not been out ive even tried washing it off but it wont budge.STRANGE.
you think that is strange?? ive had a hen witch had 2 eggs, at 10 days i looked at the eggs. 1 was full 1 was dud, 9 days after the full egg hatched, so like i always do i leave the dud egg under till i ring the youngster just so the parents dont crush it. tonight the youngster is 7 days old and ready to be rung so i lifted the hen off the nest and the 2nd egg has hatched to day???? now that to me is also STRANGE!!! has any one ever seen this happen before? ive put the 2nd youngster under a pair witch only hatched 1 to day aswell
