Man I have a major hawk problem. I live in Knoxville Tn and I have hawk that looks nothing like hawk. I think it's a crossbred from something. I't killing me so I have to lock up and I have a young kit that's been flying for 2 weeks now. Is it going to mess them up being locked up??
Help

I have herd People are crossbreeding hawks to make supirior hunters, and releasing them into the wild for one reason or another. There are the falconry enthusiests who propagate air sharks like we cultivate true spinning Birmingham Rollers.I sugest A lockdown on your finest Rollers till they migrate threw.I have flown year round in hawk infested skys for many seasons.Only the most skillfull, and manuverable of flyers will survive.I have some of those, but they arn't always the best Rollers that survive these attacks. There are some noted ways to deal with air sharks, but I think I will just stop flying during this time of year.I'll start flying in the spring, and sort my best rollers out at this time.-Mike

Thanks Mike and those things are relly "sharks". Man I've seen it go after one of those wild doves today and man that thing is way faster than anything I have ever seen. I guess I'll just lock up til next year or I'll have a big problem losin birds. Thanks

Once you get them back into shape they will roll. Put them up twice a day (if you were a football player you will remember the two a day practices in the beginning of the season). Train them the same. At first they will look like crap; use some patience - don't give up on them; and keep putting them back in the air.

Too many flyers give up too soon.

If they are flipping over now they will roll once they get back in shape.

Hey Nick. I have some super nice birds man, they start rolling at 3 months and they are 10 to 20 feet so if I lock them up they would eventualy come back to the same spot or better. Special thanks to the man I got them from Tom McDaniel
