Has anyone bread one cock to two hens (or more) at the same brood time? How did you do it? Do you use foster cocks to hatch and raise squabs?

Nick, I posted a similar question a while back and got some decent answers. I'd read somewhere about a guy who regularly put one cock with three hens. What I wanted to know was how you convinced each of the hens that the cock belonged to her and for that hen not to abandon the eggs and to actually raise the youngsters herself. I think the consensus was that it could be done but it was quite a trick to pull off, with a lot of involvement on the part of the fancier. It seems that good old fostering was the answer. The cock simply spends enough time with each hen to do the business. The hen lays, the eggs are removed and placed with fosters. The process is then repeated as often as required.

I hope this works, as I'll be facing the same prospect in the not too distant future!
