Hi all. I've been flying a late hatch batch of squeekers 12 of them for last six days. Last 2 days they've been sitting on my 30 ft hip roof barn and when i flag them they got where they didn't even flinch. So I got a fishing pole and put a pop bottle with a couple of pebbles in it and cast it up and over. And that did the trick! They will learn to land on the loft now. Probably already been done by someone. But thought I'd pass it on. Tapp

I did the same, but with a flag on the end - and I still do. It scares them up and it also makes them think twice about landing too early. It just takes one bird to look like it wants to land and the rest will follow. Stick a big flag up their arses and it's surprising how much more performance can be got from them.

I obtained a 10 yard pole, which is essentially a big, telescopic, fishing rod. To stop them landing in trees nearby, I sometimes waved my magic want a bit too enthusiastically. The sound of crunching glass-fibre was the call that the waving had gone too far. My pole now has tape all over it.
