Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Mr. Cliff Ball for writing this artilce in the new NBRC bulletin. It was very well written and should lay to rest any questions some may have had about James Turner and his birds.

Thank you Cliff for such a well written article!!!!

Cliff,
Nice article you done, but I need to ask a couple of questions. I thought that Bob Bettis lived in Illinois with my buddies Doug Maxey, Bob Hord and all those other great guys.
Now Joe Roe had some great Indigos/Andalusians.There were 4 birds in his 93 kit they were mostly out of his 0050 cock and a indigo bar hen CARC 90 891 . I believe he had 10 matings in his loft in 93 that carried the indigo gene in one form or another. And he had 7 mating with the indigo in 94. And 11 matings in 95.
But I thought the Indigos came from one of the CARC member. I visited his loft a long while back, I think it was around 94 or 95. I can't remember his name but I did hear that he moved and sold all his birds to someone in New Mexico. If I can think of the guys name I will post it. But he might have got them from Bob Bettis.
Again nice article and good luck, your good friend Brian Middaugh
