Hey everybody,

Do any of you find that certain color birds carry more frequency than others as a general rule?

I find that factor Grizzle to hold frequency in my family.

Thor,

Over the years I've seen it in my blues and the same with other families.

Color?!Since most of my birds are red or black I would say that my reds or blacks are the most frequent. Just a smart ass way of say it just deepends on your family what bird(s) roll frequent. If your family throws a lot of blacks then it is more likely that black is your most frequent spinner.

Yep Nick, Blacks are my most frequent, because I have a whole lot of them..lol. Ash reds would be next on the list.

I guess what I am trying to say is that there is no universal color that give you a frequent spinner. If that was the case why would we have any other color?

Color is not a factor in determining quality of performance.

Scott, Kenny, Dave H, and both Brians -tell us what you think of color (LOL)

Nick we don't all want what some consider frequency, what some consider frequent is nothing more than busy doo doo.
Nick all I know is "my" birds, it evolves around charactor or lack of.
charactor does follow color to an extent with many familys, but selection also plays in , in a big way.
I can take blue checkers within my line and breed them over cooked and over frequent if I chose to do so.
I flew the Calif state fly today and when the judge was done he said "I thought blue checker kits were supposed to be stiff " he asked me "what is different with mine ?" The reply was simple "selection" , the kit I flew today had 17 blue and 2 rec reds.
Does color play in to some degree ? Yes no doubt about it because charactor will color follow to a degree.
"Smokey" is a sign of qaulity within my birds , but it isn't a 100 0/0 either.
Scott

My Blacks and Ash Reds are my very best, but if I were to fly recessives I would have a kit that would be more frequent. They would not be able to handle the velocity for too long though.
