Hi all,
I had my kit of 20 birds out today, 10 Rubys 6 Bob brown based and and 4 of my own breeding. I must mention that the Rubys definitely stood out in the kit with their performance so far! These birds (Rubys)are the best that I have had the pleasure to observe to date! With proper feeding and care I can only see them improving. Of course there are some that are performing better than others but on average I say from what I have seen this is the highest average that I have seen since having Birmingham Rollers! Some of the Rubys are hitiing 15-25 ft rolls with style in my humble opinion!
Rgards,
Raul.

Hey Raul, nice update! Keep doing what you are doing. BTW, I just weaned the last lavendar tonight, hope to ship to exporter next week. Will let you know when they go.

Can you share what you are feeding them and how long they are flying? How old are they roughly?

Hi Tony, I most certainly can share what I am feeding Etc! I am feeding a 50/50 mix of wheat and milo for 4 days then I give them a 14% commercial mix from Baymor feed for 3 days, 2 consecutive days on wheat and milo 3rd day on the commercial mix. This works for me and the climate conditions I have to deal with! My birds are flying 1.5 hrs on average. The birds that I am flying in this kit are 4-7months of age. I must stress to you and others that if I was not happy with the birds purchased from you I would not have ordered more! From my limited experience with Rollers their is no better way for a novice to start off right than to acquire good foundation birds! Your strain in my opinion from what I have personally experienced will start anyone willing to do their part succeed!!
Regards,
Raul.

One of my rubies is really beginning to spin. He let loose an easy 60ft that scared the hell out of me. I thought there was no way he could pull out of it, but sure enough he pulled up and did it again. I would have to say he's the best bird in my kit.

Hi Thom, All I need to know is what color do you want me to paint the dog house LOL ! And speaking of dog houses I may need to build myself a dog house once my wife finds out what I have planned for her green house soon to be moved to a new location to make room for my new kit boxes & loft. I have a back up plan in place just in case she blows a gasket "Honey how about us going on a cruise this Summer LOL !
Regards Raul.

Hey Tony the self black hen Ruby-10-MO-062 has a new nick name "Black Lightning" Man was she lighting up the sky today! She is getting fast, deep and frequent and is rolling in the H style about twice every 1.5 min most of the others are not far behind in performance! I have a friend who is the cameraman for the local TV news station and we will try to get some good footage of them performing and post it for you and other to view!

Hey Raul, I have never named any Rubys, you would be the first I know who has done so. I think "Black Lightning" sounds completely cool!

I hope you and your cameraman friend can get some good video. I would love to see it. I have never had much luck taping with my digital camera. Will his equipment be able to get super slow motion? Look forward to seeing what you guys come up with. Good luck!

Hey Paul, Do you still have this hen? She looks awesome! I believe one can pick out a Ruby out of of several strains due to their homozygous phenotype! And yes I do love them more and more as they develop their spinning ability! Oh and thanks for reminding Tony that I am not the first to nickname my birds LOL! And Tony get some more sleep my friend or you will get older faster LOL!
Raul.
