Hey Tony, Of the 11 birds I received from you 10 are now flying. I lost one it flew out of the kit box the very next day I got them! They are kitting well, flying about 30-40min and most are beginning to roll, their potential is already evident! I am pleased with their progress and I look forward for them to begin to perform to the standard they were bred for! Its very hot and humid here in Bermuda they come down panting so I am not flying them every day.
I have already sent Santa (MY wife)an early Christmas list and asked for some more jewelry Rubys of-course LOL!
Take care,
Raul.

Raul, I'm happy for you! Even if it is hot and humid they should fly at least once everyday. If they are panting pull the water for a few hours before you fly them and them give it back after they cool down.

Take care

Thanks Dennis and Thom for the comments. Thom I will take your advise with the water and fly them every day, after all as I have mention on a prior post you are a wise oldfart LOL! Dennis how many Ruby pairs are you breeding from? I will keep flying mine to see which ones I will decide to breed from in the furture.
Raul.

Raul, I borrowed that advice from a good friend of mine. Pulling the water helps in the heat, just make sure to let them cool down before giving it back and don't give them cold water, room temperature is best.
The only way to get them used to the humidity and heat is to fly while they are young. It would not hurt to fly them twice a day on the days that are a little cooler, but only feed one half a ration after each fly. I don't use any measure on very young birds. I feed them all they want and feel their crops to make sure everyone is getting their fair share. If I'm flying twice a day, once in the morning and once in the late afternoon or early evening I feed them one tablespoon per bird on the first fly and then all they want on the second. Good luck with them, sorry you lost a bird!

Take care

Hi Dennis, I am familiar with the bull system although I have never tried It myself. One thing is for sure you must use the absolute best that you have available in order to get the desirable results.
Take care,
Raul.
