I had a pigeon trapped in today with my rollers and It has a NCRC 09 #444 on it. It is a very pretty yellow or cream bird. When my kit landed I thought what the heck is that bird, I thought it was a pretty homer since it is a little larger than anything I have flying.
When I called the birds in with the feed can it readily went in with them. The band is not the NCRC bands that are sold by Jeff, it is a custom made band. That is the benefit of getting bands from our club or any other club, they can give you the information on the owner.
He is a fairly strong bird with not a single feather out of place. My birds came down with ruffled feathers and looking like they flew through mild tornado. This guy is very smooth and well cared for. He has a nice strong body to him, but wide primary feathers which are not condusive for most rollers I've seem. Hope to find its owner.
He is in a pen all by himself, away from the other birds. He is a healthy bird. Bill C

Hi Bill,
that sounds just like a bird that Scott told me he lost on an overfly when he had them too lean. I'm pretty sure it's his.

Ken LOL, I think Scott might have culled it before it left the nest. There are times when that could be necessary.
THis bird is prettier than anything I have. I'm not kidding. I will have to make a few phone calls to try and find its owner. I hope there is not somebody making ncrc bands that is not in the club. I will have Kham put it in the bulletin. I will try and post a picture of it here. Bill c

Oo interesting because i seen some NCRC bands at the local flea market on birds..The interesting part is that they arent even put on rollers.Moreover the bands look legit. Thought ill shared.

I go to the one on folsom blvd..its held every weekend..saturday and sunday.I use to buy birds there the Ones with NCRC bands. But after i knkwe that they were randomly putting them on any pigeon hoping it would sale i didnt anymore. I seen them on Parlors,Fantails, And fancy pigeons..

Thanks Rollinfever. I have an idea who may have been selling them. My guess is that you won;t see them anymore but I'll try to stop by when I have some free time on a sat and check it out.
