I lost a hen yesterday. She had 2 babies about 2 weeks old.I think the dad will raise the young . My question is when can I put a new hen with him? Should I wait until the young are weaned or can I put her in now? David

Hey David, you don't need the cock getting side-tracked with a hen right now. Just wait another week or so and wean the youngsters. Then introduce a new hen. Good luck.

I would wait and let the cock raise...but if the cock is good and you need to breed him ASAP, I would hand feed....just my opinion.

OK Thanks for the info. I'll just wait until they are weaned. David
