I got this hen from a man in Pomona, CA that strayed her in. It's a really nice hen and I am curious as to what she goes back to. She was rolling 40-50' consistantly, tight and fast. He watched which bird it was when it came down and it was a stray. (go figure)The band is NPA 04 CD-97. Thanks!

Well without a doubt that bird still belongs to the banded owner if he chooses to get her back. I guess you could tell him he cant have it back but be careful. Carma will get back at you. As soon as the word get around that you did something like that you would be hard pressed to get a decent bird from anybody again. JMHO. Joe

I agree. The bird should be returned if the rightful owner asks for it back. On the other hand, will it be the rightful owner who comes forward to "CLAIM IT AS THEIR OWN". Just my thought.

Check it out Robert, your his neighbor in P-town

I contacted the NPA and they said the band was purchased elsewhere. I have tried to find the owner for about six months.

Hey JM, Scott I would be happy to return any bird to it's owner. This is the third time I have posted it on this site. Don't pre-judge people before you get the facts. I know I would expect the same in return.

I, like Joe, was trying to add to the discussion. Not judge you or anyone else. I hope you still do not take it the wrong way. If you do, I appologize for the misunderstanding. Also, I am partial to Blk Wht/Flts anyway (:-O)

Just a question,
What if the person sold the bird, and the person that bought it flys it 3 months later and someone strays it in?
Whos the rightful owner?

Hey Robert, that sounds like a great gig. I'm a big Schenker/UFO fan. As far as the hen goes I have not got any good birds from her.
