Today we lost one of the greatest Champions that ever laced on a pair of Gloves , Alexis Arguello 57, was found dead in Manugua Nicaragua.
Our Prayers go out to him and his Family. Alexis won three REAL titles W.B.C. /W.B.A. ( not one of the numerous Fake titles there are today). in three different weight Divisions .
He also never lost any of those titles in the Ring, he relinquished the Titles to move up in weight.

I remember Arguello fighting Aaron Pryor years ago when I was a teenager. He was the World Featherweight, Junior-Lightweight, and Lightweight Champion between 1974 and 1982.
...and
For those of you who don't know... Mr. Arguello was the Mayor of Managua.
May he rest in peace...

Big Rudy wassssup.... I love history! Looks like a snapshot of Arguello -vs- Pryor from the early 80's.
History is the torch that is to illuminate the past.

To explain history is to depict the passions of mankind, the genius and the active powers that play their part on the great stage of life.

I recall Cesar Chavez. He had some very good fights. Wow... he had a remarkable boxing record!
