Okay guys here is my dilima....I want to re-organize my breeders and a few older birds. The problem is when, I fly all of them at the same time, I can't keep track of which bird is doing what.........
I tried to fly afew at a time (5) but, when I pick out the best one out of that 5 and then fly that bird later on with (4) other birds the chosen bird doesn't perform much at all.....
I guess what Iam tring to ask is "How do really know what birds to eliminate when they don't perform the same way all the time and with the same birds. I hope this all makes sence to you?????

Paul, sometimes you have to fly them together for a few weeks so they can get used to each other and then they will show you the goods. One question do why only 5 birds at a time are all your birds of the same color?

Sal......I've been flying these birds together for the last 2 seasons. Alot of them are black/bald-heads with white flights, some are all whiteand afew silvers. The reason I fly 5 at atime is to try to get a better eye on which bird is going what.....

Paul,
What I do when I'm flying several birds that have either white tails or white flights is use a black permanent marker. Use the marker to paint a couple of the flights or tail in differant places, then you are able to identify which birds are doing what. It helps me!

RUDY....Good to hear from you. How's things in the BIG state of TX?? As far as Mr Sherwood goes, I haven't heard or seem him in several months now. I've been really busy with the work thing............lol. You know how that goes...

Robby...that just might do the trick for me. I have a very difficult time trying to tell some of my birds apart when they get up thier. Thats why I try to fly 5 at a time.

Paul,
I know it helps me identify my birds. It would probably work even better if I would wear my glasses too..lol

You are blessed to have birds with white on them. Creative use of food color, halloween color hair spray or color tape will tell you what you want to know. Use binoculars too.

Paul, Marking my birds with halloween hair spray that should be on the market real soon. Small Arersol can of fluorescent pink or fluorescent orange. Fast super drying for the kids hair on halloween. I've got a lot of black bald heads with white flights and some with white tails. Suspect birds are sprayed left wing or right wing, one white tail sprayed left side and other sprayed right side some left with white tails. Solid blue checks get two tail feathers cut off one inch on left side, another right side and another in the middle. It can get colorful around here but eyes are not as good as once were. Must be able to pick the best but also works for that outflyer. Jerry
