WELL been flying my birds for 20 years in Birmingham club. the birds fly well Kit well and break well and when i say break its 30 in 15 Min's BUT ITS Short so be careful not to do what we did to the birds in birmingham uk. so if i was you i would make it a rule that it is 6 feet and not less because our rule was two backward somersaults.

Joey Mac,

do the guys in your club fly in the World Cup? Who are some of the other guys in your club? Are all the birds short? Or are some fanciers birds deeper than others?

Kenny Joey flys red badge tumblers in competition and does pretty good with them i hear.
Birmingham rollers are going to be a whole new ball game to Joey.

Ahh so there are Birmingham roller competitions and seperate competition tumbler competitions eh?

Tell me more. I had no idea there were still 2 types of competiitons going.

But alas, no more individual birds comps.

Why did the single bird compls such as thelikes of Harris, Barrat, skidmore, and Pensom used to conduct?

Joey those red badges look great. I have never seen the red badges fly but i would love to see them.
Good pictures Joey.
What are the rules for the red badges in competition and how long do you fly them for?

There is a gentlemen here in Sacramento, CA who also flies comp badges in both red/white and black/white. Hi name is Gordon JAckson and he came over from the UK many years ago.

When he was flying rolelrs with our local club, he would let the comp badges up after the judging period for the rollers was over.

They were a sight to behold in terms of breaking together but not my cup of tea in terms of the roll.

Very cool to see the origens of our true BR though.

Hey Joey, I see you are posting and that is great! BUT, if you are going to post pictures, they must be smaller so that they do not distort the size of the page.

These will be deleted at some point by a moderator or me. I'll allow you some time to figure out how to resize. Thanks for participating.
