Hello again, every august i organise a charity fete and car boot sale and each year i look for new ideas and wondered if any of you had any good ideas for fund raising,i have a couple of months before it takes place so any ideas from your suggestions would be much appreciated, last year we raised £2300.00 which we handed over to CLIC (a childrens cancer charity) which was at the time nursing my mates son luke who sadly died last wednesday ,so this year i will try even harder for this years chosen charity Winstons Wish ,it provides holidays for children with incurable and time limited illnessess,so come on guys your ideas will all be logged and discussed at our meeting and hopefully raise money for a good cause, jim gloucester ps the racing boys allways attend ,any suggestions for a raffle prize that will interest them, cheers.

Jim I think a good idea would be contacting all the main pigeon suppliers IE BODDY AND RIDEWOOD, WWw.everythingforpets.com. There's lots more if you Google and look Any local suppliers near your location? Ask for pigeon baskets, Pigeon food, Traps, bowls Anything all pigeon fanciers can use. Email or phone and tell them about your fund raising, and the great cause it is for, Ask them will they contribute items for an auction or raffle I'm sure they would only be to willing to help you. Also Jim well done your doing an excellent job ---------- Regards W@yne UKPatience Perseverance Perfection ===================================== www.waynegrovesrollers.piczo.com

This doesn't relate to pigeons, but my wife and her twin sister put on a "relay for life" (walk-a-thon) every year! They get all the buisnesses in town to sponser volunteers to walk laps around the high school track! A lot of them just donate like a dollar per lap, but you get a couple hundred people to walk and all do 10 to 20 laps apiece and it adds up fast! Every year it gets bigger and bigger! Its a tax write off here in America for the buisnesses to donate! Just an idea we do in our home town! ---------- Val "Site Moderator"
