Other times, I will stock from the nest simply because I like a birds expression and type (these are all out of proven stock pairs) and do not want to risk losing them to bird of prey or over-flys.

The answer is rather simple, I breed year-round and keep birds for myself to keep my operation and breeding program moving forward. I can get overstocked with birds I end up not using but a few times and need the space for the next generations.
